What Do I Like Most About the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Stroller?

When I first started researching the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller, I was a little weary because I wasn’t familiar with Kolcraft. However, as soon as I started looking into quality, customer reviews, and amenities, all my concerns vanished. Plus, I mean the price tag on this thing. Come ON!

Here are a few of my favorite things. I KNOW you just sang that in your head, and that’s totally okay.

The Price

Kolcraft lists the Kolcraft plus stroller on their website at a MSRP of $69.99. How bananas is that? I had to wipe my toddler’s fingerprints off my glasses and recheck that. It really is that inexpensive. Now, normally I would scoff and think that it’s not going to be worth a darn, but it IS.

Lightweight

Weighing in at only 11.8 pounds, the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Stroller is a lightweight. It is going to weigh less than your child. Think about that. That makes it so easy to transport. It makes it easy to bring on vacation. I love that you don’t have to pump iron just to lift your stroller in and out of your minivan.

Storage

The storage basket is huge on this stroller! It’s got plenty of room for your diaper bag, purse, and more. There are a lot of things you need to carry around when you get a kiddo. The Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller has you and all of your junk covered. This makes day trip adventures SO much easier.

You also have a parents tray with TWO cup holders up top. It includes a tray for your phone, keys, and whatever other small item you feel like keeping right in front of you. Then, there is a removable kids tray with a cup and juicebox holder. I love that you can take it out and wash it up in your sink if you want. This helps keep it nice.

Parent Friendly

Beyond the fact that this stroller is lightweight and has a lot of storage, it’s got parents in mind. The fact you can fold it with one hand is incredible. It’s also really compact. I was surprised at the size of the Kolcraft Plus Stroller when folded up. If you live in an apartment, or small house, you don’t have to worry about storage.

Durability

Alright, this was going to be my biggest concern after seeing the price of the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller. However, Kolcraft didn’t skimp on this category. The wheels are all terrain so they aren’t that cheap plastic that we are used to from the 80’s. Beyond the wheels, there is a suspension system built in. This means that your poor child won’t get shaken baby syndrome every time there is a slightly uneven terrain.

Safety

Last, but definitely not least, the Kolcraft Plus Stroller has great safety features. I love that there is a 5 point harness. Anymore, if there isn’t a 5 point harness, you can bet I’m not going to buy it. It’s just not as safe without it. It’s adjustable so it will grow with your little one. When you add the safety harness with the durable wheels, you’ve got a safe and comfortable ride for your little one.

I’ve raved about the things I love about the Kolcraft Cloud Plus Lightweight Stroller. Let’s review the key points and take a look at what could be improved.

PROS

Durability: All terrain wheels
Lightweight: Under 12 pounds!
Price Tag: Under $70? Sign me up!
Smooth Ride: Suspension system with all terrain wheels
Large Storage Basket: Great for packing in all that stuff you probably don’t need
Parent Friendly Features: Large storage basket, one hand fold, cup holders, removable kids tray, etc.

CONS

Storage Basket Open on Front: Small items could possibly fall out unnoticed. It also can trip up your stroller. I’m sure that Kolcraft did this so you can easily grab your stuff, but it’s not very well thought out.
Lock Doesn’t Lock Completely: When folded up, there is a lock that keeps the stroller folded up. There are complaints from other users that the lock doesn’t stay tight or doesn’t completely latch.
Shallow Cup holders: If you have a hot coffee, this could potentially be hazardous and ruin your day. I don’t know why they don’t make the cup holders deep on all strollers. That should just be common sense at this point. They make venti lattes for a reason, people.
Tray Doesn’t Remove Easily: Child tray is not an easy on and off situation. Can be frustrating and inconvenient. I don’t think this is a deal breaker, but it is an annoyance that could have been avoided by Kolcraft.
Fabric Not High Quality: Seems like the fabric just isn’t stellar. It won’t stand up the test of time. However, it might last you through one kiddo’s toddler years. That’s all based off of customer reviews though. Maybe they have a particularly wild child? That one’s hard to tell.
