This is my absolute favorite part of this stroller. If you have two kids under the age of 5, you know how much a toddler’s temperament can change from day to day. That means, having the same stroller set up or lack thereof can really cause a scene. Graco knocked this one out of the park.
They have options for everything from two car seats to a bench seat and car seat, to two regular seats with 5 point harnesses. When I see these different configurations, I think how much my toddler would like to choose his seating option each day or each outing. What a brilliant idea!
Parent and Kid Friendly
Storage for parents and options for kids. Isn’t that the dream? I like this double stroller for infants and toddlers because it allows parents and kids to get what they want. Hallelujah for that!
Parents get a tray with a pivoting cup holder. That’s nice when you have a toddler riding on the back that wants to get into everything, especially your coveted morning Starbucks. Kids get a tray with 2 cup holders so they can have a snack and their sippy cup right in front of them.
There’s also the extra large storage basket underneath. You need more stuff with two kids and that’s why they made a bigger basket. Thank you, Graco! To top it off, the seat cushions are removable AND machine washable. I can’t think of a better option than machine washable if you are a mom. Can you? Finally, you can fold up the stroller and latch it with one hand. That’s so necessary when you are wrangling not one, but two, children.

Alright, NORMALLY, when you look at double strollers you are going to have to pay an arm and a leg. With this stroller combination, the MSRP runs a little over $200, but you can get it for less if you search around a bit. That’s a steal of a deal for all that comes with this traveling system.

Well, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The set up is really the best feature of the Graco Ready2Grow LX Double Stroller for infants and toddlers. It has twelve, count that again, TWELVE different riding options for 2 children from infant to youth. I cannot stress enough how much easier this is going to make your life if you have a toddler and a baby.
I also like the extra features for parents like machine washable covers and all of the extra storage space and cup holders. That really adds up to simplifying and streamlining getting out of the house. Let’s face it, that can be a daunting task with two, and this really helps you relax and enjoy yourself a little more.
I’m a huge stickler for safety and Graco doesn’t disappoint in this arena, either. The suspension system and lockable wheels really make me feel more confident that this stroller isn’t going to flip on a dime or go flying away from you in the parking lot.
Graco is always focused on safety, all of their products meet or exceed all safety standards.
Graco Ready2Grow LX Double Stroller Pros and Cons
Alright, we’ve covered a lot so far. Now, let’s summarize the things I really like and the things that I think need improvement.
PROS
- 12 riding options: So many possibilities
- Price is right on par: MSRP$200 or less which is a great price for the value included
- Amenities left and right for both kids and parents: Cup holders, snack trays, extra large storage basket, and more
- Safe and reliable: Suspension, easy lock wheels to keep your kids safe and Graco’s safety track record
- Easy to use: One-handed closure and latch to heft your stroller while maintaining control of your kids and much more
CONS
- Two car seat configuration not super convenient: It comes really close to the handlebar making it hard to get a good grip on the stroller for you. It also makes it really hard to seat the car seat you put in the front seat. However, if you want a double stroller with two car seat capability, you are probably going to run into the same issues.
- The step between back wheels can be a shin breaker: If your toddler likes to stand on the back riding step, you may hit your shins on it. It’s just really close to the handlebars and easy to forget about. I would wear some shin guards or forget this riding option if you struggle with it.
- It’s big: Having a double stroller is bulky. If you are just used to a single stroller, you are going to struggle at first. It’s something you have to get used to with two kids. All double strollers are bulky. Another option you can consider is a side by side stroller instead of a tandem stroller. It all will depend on your personal preference.
- Removable footrests easy to lose: Because of all the excellent seating options, the footrests are removed easily. Now, I don’t know about you but I have enough things to remember to bring or not leave behind when I go somewhere. That can be a nuisance.

You can probably see now why I love the Graco Ready2Grow LX Double Stroller for Infant and Toddler so much now. It has all the bells and whistles you want like pivoting cup holders, an extra large storage basket, and 12 seating options.
On the same hand, it also has incredible safety features like a 3 point and 5 point harness seat. This stroller has the capability for two Graco Snugfit car seats to be used at the same time which is ultimately the safest way for two little ones to travel at first.
Amazon gave it 3.9 out of 5 stars after 566 customer reviews. That’s not bad considering all the ridiculous negative star ratings. I looked through them and some people just weren’t ready for a double stroller, period.
The Graco Ready2Grow LX Double stroller boasts convenience, safety, and just plain making parents lives easier with their set up. I would have a hard time picking another double stroller for infant and toddler combinations. Wouldn’t you? I thought so.
