What Makes the Bob Revolution SE Stroller So Special?

Alright, we covered the specifications and the highlights, now what makes this stroller better than the competitors out there? My favorite parts of the stroller are the smooth ride, the storage, the versatility, and the incredible safety features.

Safety

I love the safety features on the BOB Revolution SE stroller. The rear parking brake isn’t going to let your stroller go anywhere. That’s pretty standard on a lot of strollers. Where BOB goes above and beyond is the wrist strap.

The wrist strap ensures that if for some insane reason your stroller would start to roll away with the brake on, you will feel a tug on your wrist and be able to stop it. More often than not, I’ve forgotten to put the brake on my stroller and wished I had something like the wrist strap to keep my little one safe.

Next up is the 5 point harness. Do you remember the days of the single little flimsy seat belt for strollers? How was that even a thing? BOB has a beautiful 5 point harness to keep your little one snug as a bug and safe while still maintaining a great level of comfort.

You can’t call a stroller a good one unless it’s safe. Please don’t buy a flimsy $25 stroller with no safety features whatsoever, you will regret it. I cringe at all of the things that could go wrong. The BOB Revolution SE Single Stroller has excellent safety features all focused on protecting your child.

Pneumatic Tires and Adjustable Shock Absorbers

I don’t think I can hit this point hard enough. If you buy a stroller with crappy tires, they will wear down and fast. The ride won’t be smooth and you are going to be disappointed. The pneumatic tires and adjustable shock absorbers are perfect for everything from a bumpy sidewalk to a hike out in the wilderness.

Versatility and Parent Friendly

This is always a big one for me with my little guy. Having a stroller that has options makes life so much easier. The SE can be either a regular everyday stroller or a jogging stroller. This is great for those who like to jog! The times that I have used my regular stroller as a jogging stroller didn’t exactly go swimmingly.

It also can accommodate a compatible car seat so your less than 8 week old babe can come with you. Not only that, but you can fold this bad boy up in two steps and throw it in the back of your mini van without a struggle. That’s a big deal for me. When you are sweating, dealing with a little one’s meltdown, and desperate to get home, you don’t want to spend 15 minutes loading up your gear.

I really like that you can make it a double stroller without much trouble. If you are expecting twins (yay you!) or just have two kiddos close in age, this is a god send. You don’t have to settle for a crappy double stroller when you can have a BOB Revolution SE.

Finally, I think you could probably put any one of the main features of the BOB stroller under this category. This company knows what a parent wants and needs. It’s like they wrapped up all of your favorite things in one package.

Storage

Holy storage galore. BOB gets it. When you are a mom, you just have so much STUFF. There’s the diaper bag, the snacks, the extra clothes, the extra toys, the extra stuff for you, etc. The list goes on and on and on and on and on. (and on). Luckily, the BOB Revolution SE has multiple storage compartments in a variety of sizes.

The Low Boy Cargo Basket is a life saver. It’s underneath the stroller so perfect for your diaper bag and purse. I like throwing my purse in my diaper bag, but if you have more than one kid, I bet that’s not always an option.

There’s also a nice pocket on the back of the seat. This is another ideal place for your purse. I also like this pocket for snacks because it’s easy to reach and your kiddos can’t eat the whole bag of pretzels when you aren’t looking.

Two internal seat pockets make up the last of the four storage compartments. These pockets are perfect for extra pacifiers, sippy cups, and small toys.

There’s a place for everything from your diaper bag to your car keys. Storage is your best friend when you are a parent on the go.

Durability

If you are planning on doing anything besides walking down the block and back, you are going to need a durable stroller. Heck, you might even need a durable stroller for that, depending on how wild your neighborhood is. Nonetheless, the BOB Revolution SE delivers again in it’s durability.

The pneumatic tires and adjustable shock absorbers really pull the durability factor into high gear. If you want to trail run, live on a gravel road, or even just want to be able to take your stroller camping, this is essential. It’s going to be a smooth ride and hold up well to wherever your life takes you.

This stroller has so many positives, it’s hard to narrow them down, but we did our best.

There were a couple of downsides to this stroller that I didn’t like but they were by no means deal breakers for me.

CONS

Seat Leans Backwards: The angle is a relaxed one even when sitting up
Color Fades: Black turns into almost a navy blue
Foot Rest Doesn’t Age Well: The fabric starts to wear if your child moves their feet at all, which they will.
Cup Holder Sold Separately: Kind of frustrating when you pay for an elite stroller.
